RENTAL BASICS
Whether you are
an event professional or an individual planning a backyard party, renting
equipment can be confusing. At CER, our job is to make things easy for our
clients. When planning your event, you can either present your complete
vision to us or visit our showroom for inspiration. We are a complete
resource for bringing your ideas to life. Our consultants can help you
create your dream party and will be there for you every step of the way. No
two rental jobs are alike, but the following general advice on various
aspects of party planning can be universally applied. Should you not find

TENTS
TOP
CER can provide
you with tents ranging from ten foot canopies to amphitheatre sized
superstructures. If your party requires tenting, a consultant will visit the
site in order to make recommendations for tent size and type. They will
determine if flooring is needed, locations of entrances and exits, and how
everything should fit together. We also provide diagramming services to help
you visualize how the tent will fit the space, and how the interior will be
laid out.

Before choosing
a tent, you should finalize your guest count, since that number will
determine the size of your tent. Visit our Tables Space Diagram to see how
many square feet each type of table requires and how many people each table
seats. In addition to the guest seating, you will also need space for
entertainers, bars, buffet tables, lighting, heaters, and other optional
features.
Once the basics
have been accounted for, you can choose from a variety of upgrades to make
your tent more comfortable and elegant. Air conditioning, heating, specialty
lighting, swaging, tent windows and a variety of other extras can be added
to make your party beautifully unique.
TABLES

Guests at any
event spend most of their time at the table, making it the most important
canvas for elaborate design. Once you have decided on a number of guests,
you should reserve the amount of tables necessary for seating, food service,
and other uses like registration or coat check. We have tables in every
shape and size; including round, square, rectangular, serpentine and half
circles. Our consultants will help you choose the necessary amount of tables
and the appropriate placement. A diagram of the layout will be created to
illustrate both the logistics and the aesthetics of your event.
LINENS

Linens can be
dark, light, patterned and textured. Your linen choice will greatly affect
the mood and tone of your party almost as much as the lighting. We carry
basic Poly-cotton Tablecloths in a variety of colors and a seasonally
updated selection of over 300 beautiful Specialty Linens. If our linen
selection doesn't include the perfect cloth, we are happy to create custom
linen either from fabric you find, or from fabric we source for you. Visit

TABLE SETTINGS

10 china patterns, 8 glassware lines, 8 flatware options and a variety of
serving pieces provide amazing versatility to our events' presentations.
Call to set up an appointment to visit the CER showroom or select products from our catalogue for a custom
demonstration. Besides style, the key to choosing your china, glassware, and
flatware is to rent the tableware that fits your menu: champagne glasses if
you will be toasting, bouillon spoons for soup, and plates for every course.
In most cases, your caterer will advise you on the specifics.
CHAIRS

The perfect chair is a balance of comfort and style. Most rental chairs
possess one quality more than the other, but several of our more exquisite
items are both equally comfortable and attractive.
CATERING EQUIPMENT

If you are renting Kitchen Equipment, you probably have a professional
caterer who will tell you exactly what they need or will deal with the
rental company directly. If you are planning your own event and renting
Kitchen Equipment, it is important to note the power requirements (whether
the item is gas, electric, or charcoal powered) and to order the appropriate
support equipment. A consultant will ensure you receive all of the parts
necessary to keep things goings throughout the event.
DANCE FLOORS AND STAGING

Both Stages and Dance Floors are rented in the same way: they are actually
made up of several convenient sized pieces that we assemble on-site. If you
refer to the Staging and Dance Floor sections, you can find charts that help
you determine how many square feet of each you will need depending on what
your entertainers have requested and how many guests you have.
LIGHTING
& POWER
Our professional in-house lighting staff can add the finishing touch to you
event. Working with your sales consultant, our team will develop a lighting
design to fit the style and ambiance of your party. From Chinese lanterns to
projected pattern on the dance floor, the lights and effects will be sure to
dazzle your guests. We can even procure special items if what you request is

PLANNING SERVICES

For larger
events that require the collaboration of many vendors (the florist, caterer,
rental company, entertainers, etc.), you will want to invest in a diagram of
your event. Our internal diagramming department can create a
representation of your event space that is helpful to all parties.
